Voila! I finally have enough of a CD to say I have one. :) All right, they're on my kitchen table and I cut out covers and assemble them a few at a time and I have yet to shrink-wrap a-one of them, but I'm having a moment here, OK? It's been nearly two years since I finally scrounged up the courage to go into a studio and make a start.I guess you would call it folk/traditional, lots of British Isles stuff, American folk, that sort of thing. Quite a few of the songs are done acapella. How I got into acapella singing is quite simple. Love to sing, never learned how to play piano or guitar or anything else that I could use to accompany myself with and hate to always be asking someone else to play for me. Soooo, got asked to do music in church one time and decided to go solo. Really solo. Just me, my voice and I. People seemed to like it and it has continued on from there. Some pieces are very effective sung without accompaniment and I will probably always do at least some acapella numbers.
These days I'm also interested in putting together some sort of band...heck, it's either that or I've got to buckle down and learn to play the guitar.
